This revised website, accessible in September 2015, epitomizes my efforts to update and refine the previous versions developed while I was teaching and conducting research at Brandeis University.

The incentive to upgrade stemmed not only from newer software available that facilitates the presentation of webpages, but above all from the precious help of a professional editor, Courtney Pina Miller, an English doctoral student at Brandeis, and Claudio Vieira Rios, a skilled computer developer from my hometown in Brazil.

I have always been attracted to programs that generate programs (e.g., compiler-compilers like YACC, text processors like TeX or WordPress) and my connection with young talented collaborators like Courtney and Claudio made the task not only easier, but also enjoyable.

This site was developed by Claudio using WordPress. The new version contains additional information and photos enhancing its contents.
